ou are attempting to power level your way through a particular zone and you get stuck. It doesn't matter if it's because you forgot where that NPC character is found, or how to best play through a series of chain quests, at some point you get stuck. What is funny is that 95% of wow gamers now all follow the same suit. They find some tree or rock to hide behind so they don't get ganked and Alt+Tab out of the game. They either head to their trusty world of warcraft guide to find what they are looking for or to the ever popular wow online database. Sure it only takes a moment or two, perhaps even up to 30 second to find the information you need and you back in the game right? The problem is the mere tactic of Alt+Tabbing is inefficient. Here's why. If you were to keep track of exactly how much total time you wasted Alt tabbing in and out of the game and summed this all up over the course of several levels you'd be amazed at how much in-game time your wasting. So many WoW gamers talk about minimizing downtime in-between grinding but never consider the amount of time they waste by Alt+tabbing.

The second of my world of warcraft tips, quit using old outdated world of warcraft guides. You know the ones I mean there is no sense mentioning them; we all know the ones I mean. Here's why. Most of them assume you are going to play the game as certain race and character class. Talk about boring. The world is already cocked full of Orc Hunters, and guess what this isn't the only class that can speed level despite what you have been told. Example, say you wish to play the game as an Undead Mage, for sake of argument let your friend start a character as the good ol' Orc Hunter. Now the guide says that it doesn't matter what race you are you can speed level using it's tips. Of course they say this, after all they want you to buy their world of warcraft guide don't they. Here's what actually happens. You and your friend start the game at the same time, you as the undead mage has to run all the way over to brill, wait for the zeppelin, fly over to the other side of the world and run all the way south till you get to the Orc starting zone. It should be of no surprise when you get there, that your friend is already level 5 or more. A huge advantage. But not exactly what I would call efficient gaming for you now is it?
